Empowering Lives Through Rehabilitation & Exercise: Meet Kelly and Kaitlin of Limitless NeuroWellness Center

Kaitlin and Kelly standing side by side

At Limitless NeuroWellness Center, we hold the belief that your journey continues beyond formal rehabilitation. We are committed to ensuring that rehabilitation, exercise, and fitness are accessible to everyone. Kaitlin and I shared these beliefs before we met and they led us to found Limitless together. Our goal is to assist individuals with neurologic injuries, illnesses, and diagnoses in reaching their goals and enhancing their independence.

Building a strong connection with each person we work with is important to us! This helps us learn more about your goals and how we can best help you. We each wanted to take a moment to share a little more about ourselves with you!

I’ve always wanted to be involved in healthcare and the older I got, the more I fell in love with helping other people through movement and the intricacies of how our brain and nervous system work. This drove me to get my Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Susquehanna University and then pursue my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Elon University. In an effort to continue learning and growing to be a better clinician, I earned my neurologic clinical specialist (NCS) certification from the American Physical Therapy Association earlier this year.

I grew up playing sports, mainly softball and basketball, and went on to play softball at Susquehanna. After my collegiate career ended, I started looking for a way to stay active and found CrossFit. All of that helped shape the way I view exercise; how it truly is for anyone and everyone and helps improve all aspects of your life. I love blending rehabilitation frameworks with fitness frameworks to create custom programs for each person I work with.

Outside of working hours I love a good local coffee shop or brewery, working out with friends at my CrossFit gym, and spending time with my husband and dog, Luna!

From the time I was in the 10th grade, I knew I wanted to be a PT. The passion for helping others, learning about the body and how it works combined to form my drive for the profession. I went to UNC Charlotte and graduated with a Bachelor's of Exercise Science and followed that with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy education from Elon University. I am a continuous learner and love to learn things that can help build my "toolbox" of treatment ideas to further the progress of my patients. This has led to various certifications including earning the neurological clinical specialist certification from the APTA (NCS), certified brain injury specialist (CBIS), and certified myofascial trigger point therapist (CMTPT) which is a dry needling certification. I love being a physical therapist!

My passion for the neurological population began with my career working in inpatient rehabilitation, primarily with the brain injury population, and then expanding to spinal cord injury and oncology teams as well. My experience in the outpatient setting has also helped to develop my passion further for those with neurological injuries, including treating and progressing those in the chronic phases of neurologic injuries, and specialties like vestibular disorders.

In my personal life, I love spending time with my husband and 3 kids. I enjoy being outdoors (fall is my favorite), cooking or baking, and being creative in various ways. You can typically find me exploring local coffee shops or new local businesses on the weekends.
